The Egyptians believed that if they did not treat the gods or goddesses right, the gods/goddesses would get furious and destroy everything.
One of the main beliefs of the Egyptians was afterlife. They believed that once someone has died, they take a test at the Hall of Truths. They believed that if the person passed, they would pass to the afterlife and live a good life. If the person did not pass, Annubis (the god of the dead) would take the persons soul to Be eaten by Ammit ( the female demon). The belief would go for every person that passed away.
Gods and goddesses were offered many gifts from the ancient Egyptians. For example, the Egyptians built temples and statues for the gods and goddesses. The statues were sometimes modified by successful rulers. They gave the gods these offerings so they would not get in trouble with the gods. They were afraid that the gods/goddesses would take away their civilization.
